One of my favorite grocery item grabs is a whole fillet of salmon. Big box stores and even discount grocers like Aldi carry them and usually for a really great price. Usually, I cut them up into smaller fillets and freeze them for future meals but on Sundays or when hosting a special occasion dinner I like to roast the whole salmon fillet in the oven. It makes for such an impressive presentation even though it couldn’t be easier to make!
There are so many different variations that you can do but this version is Asian inspired. Make sure you pay attention to not over cook the salmon once in the oven. If properly cooked, it should be flaky, tender and flavorful.
Preheat oven to 375 F. Rinse the salmon with water and vinegar then pat dry. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat lightly with olive oil. Transfer the salmon fillet skin side down on a baking sheet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil and garlic in small bowl and mix. Season salmon lightly with salt and pepper. Coat salmon evenly with soy sauce mixture. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through. Soy Glazed Salmon
