Chicken Noodle Soup

There aren’t many things as comforting as a bowl of chicken noodle soup. It’s the quintessential meal for when you’re not feeling well for a reason. This soup is a favorite at my house, especially with my boys (who can be picky eaters) so I make it often. The traditional version can be time consuming to make if you make your own broth and roast your own chicken so, this is my go-to version.

This recipe saves time by using store-bought broth and one of my favorite grocery store time-savers: the in-store rotisserie chicken. I could definitely write a book of love pomes about grocery-store rotisserie chicken. When you need cooked chicken in a pinch for soups, salads, dips, tacos you name it is there for you like a friend in need! If you haven’t tried it for yourself, I highly recommend.

I love whipping this up on Saturday afternoons for a nice lunch for my family served with some crusty bread and butter, or too many saltines. In addition to being delicious and satisfying, it holds everyone off until dinner and saves me from the “I’m hungry” whines and those annoying “what’s for dinner” questions. Win, win. 😉
